Namaskaram Andy, here is the right way to do Namaskar is not to put your elbows out, but rather bring them little close to body. Your thumbs should point to the location of either of 3 chakras of upper body.

Anna I have a few questions. 1) My right leg starts paining at the place where the thigh meets the groin, the line of hip abductors basically. 2) While my left leg completely rests on the ground without any pain, right leg after a few minutes starts paining at the point mentioned in point one and also it is a tad bit above the ground. I am not why it does not touches the ground fully, I changed sides i.e I moved the right leg to the perenium and left in front of it and left was above the ground a bit, not sure if this is how the posture is supposed to be where one leg is absolutely flat and the other is a tad bit above. Could you help ?

Yes, I learned Angamardana, Surya Kriya, Yogasanas, Bhuta Shuddhi and Shambhavi Mahamudra from Sadhguru. I am also a Hatha Yoga teacher. However, I did my teacher training in Rishikesh (not with Sadhguru). 🙏🏽

Hey I want to call that transition position something. I'm not sure that I will find a googleable name for it but I am thinking something like Burmese Side, Balance, or Transition. I know you said there is not an asana name for it, but I found it useful and am trying to come up with a conventional name for it.

Another position I think could be considered for meditation or stability is Seiza. I made a temporary seiza stool for myself, and often use a cushion also. However, I just now sat down but went off to the side like I was commenting about a few months ago and thought I should see how common it was for those familiar with the seiza tradition. It turns out it is considered a feminine casual tendency to sit with legs off to one side in Japan. Which I though had some overlap to you making an observation of women tending to be more conventionally or aesthetically suited to the feet to one side, if I may paraphrase. Seiza is apparently also called Vajrasana. Not sure what impersonal evidence I have to prefer to translate Vajrasana short-hand to diamond pose over Lightning Pose. Though if we went with lightning as a an allegory, I think the idea is lighting is evidently so hard and solid, that though ephemeral it can cut to the quick. So perhaps, the idea is the pose is also very stable/solid.

I have bursitis on my shoulder. It was healed after some Physiotherapy sessions but it came back again. Can i do this?
I’m not a doctor, so please don’t just take my advice. I would suggest that you try it gently. That is, hang with minimal strain to start with. Increase the load slowly to see if the pain is worse. If so, then please see a doctor. If not, increase load and duration of the hang.

Brother it is not full ardha sidhasana... Ardha means half, so 'full ardhasidhaasana' is actually called sidhasasana. Btw thank you for ur videos.. Really helpful. Edit: ah sorry, think i misunderstood 🙏🏻
It seems to me - as I see this on my PRO-lite - the mentioned line is at the first complete roll in the rolled-up mat, where the top of the mat impinges on the underside surface across the width of the mat. As the mats are presumably in storage for a while, the line gets imprinted to a greater or lesser extent.

Hey Andy, which yoga mat do you use?
Hi Sankalp, I mainly use the Manduka Pro mat. This mat is great but it’s not recommended for beginners because you will feel the floor. If the floor is hard a beginner may not have enough conditioning on their knees. When there is a lot of (hot) sun I sometimes use a cork mat as it doesn’t get heated up too much. But then a cork mat doesn’t have as much grip as the Manduka mats. 🙏🏽

Don't put body weight on perineum. You could get an injury. Try to press heel against the perineum. If you can't that's OK. You need to be more flexible. It takes time. Never be in a hurry and force your body to do things it can't yet do.

Hi Agnes, The Warrior 3 pose is the final posture from the Isha Angamardana program. It is actually a lot more difficult than just a single standard pose. If you want something that is great for overall health I can highly recommend it. OK, I also like and do Isha Surya Kriya as well as Yogasanas. Cheers!
